One A Day-Quilt Along

I am joining Crazy Mom Quilts' (Amandajean's) one block a day quilt along. See here if you are interested in joining: http://crazymomquilts.blogspot.com/2009/04/one-day-quilt-along.html. The quilt along officially started on Monday when she first posted the idea. We are going to make one nine patch block a day until we have 70, enough for a 66" x 90" quilt. It sounded like fun to me and I have been collecting fat quarters when I see them in the sale basket at the local quilt shop. I put together the little collection above and was so pleased with the way the coordinated....then I found out that the majority of them are from the Moda line called Allspice Tapestry. It's no wonder that they look nice together! I am going to use these fabrics and others that I pick up along the way that coordinate. I am not sure that I would like a totally scrappy nine patch made from my collection of scraps because my scraps are so varied and don't necessarily work well with each other. I have only one nine patch done so far so I have to catch up and do 2 tonight. I did some cutting last night though, as you can see, so that should save me some time over the next week or two.
