So today was the big day, the kindergarten Hawaiian luau. Timothy had a great time tasting tropical fruits, drinking through a straw with a pineapple decoration and playing limbo. He was happy to model the shirt I made but had to be a bit corny with the little umbrellas used as bunny ears...what do you expect from a six year old? He loves his shirt. He had it all set aside and ready the night before. He is excited because I told him that now he can wear it whenever he wants. He wasn't allowed to wear it until today just in case it got ruined somehow!
He looks terrific in his new shirt!
ReplyDeleteNothing better than a Kindergarten Luau..How do I know this? I taught Kdg and First for 23 years. Now..quilt designer..aren't I lucky! Honestly he is precious and I love that you made his wonderful shirt.

So remind me again...how hard was this shirt? I don't think I am ready for a shirt, buy maybe a shirred hawaiian dress? He looks so happy, and how proud to tell everyone, "my mommy made it!!" :)
