One of our little neighbors, Sarah, is turning one this week. I decided to make her Hillary Lang's "Peanut the Wee Elephant" from Joelle Hoverson's Last Minute Patchwork and Quilted Gifts. The planets all aligned and the two big kids were having quiet time in their rooms while the baby slept. I should probably use the opportunity to clean and do laundry next time....
She's so cute!
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's just me, but I never could figure out this pattern. I always get stuck on the bottom of the elephant. Some if it left open to stuff, but the other bits never seem to line up right with the legs. Would LOVE a tutorial with pictures for each step. I think I'm a sewer who needs pictures!
How very cute!!! Glad that you had a moment to yourself. It is rare when you have a new baby in the house :-) Enjoy the moment.
ReplyDeleteThe Elephant is adorable. How do you find the time? I'm amazed. You must be the most organized person on the planet..

It is just darling! I love elephants, but giraffs are my favorite! I need to find a couple of patterns, maybe I'll try this one. I love the fabric choice!
