I made the most of my time in the hospital while waiting for Penelope to be born. The doctors were chuckling at me as they came in and found me sewing. I had to stop shortly after my water broke and I got an epidural! This embroidery is a gift for my mom in return for helping to take care of the kids while I was at doctor's appointments and at the hospital. I bought the Japanese material to coordinate and need her to decide if she wants a pillow or to just have the embroidery bordered by the material like I did with mine. Any other ideas?
Such a great daughter!! It really is beautiful, Amy. I can't think of any other ideas, do grandchildren visit much? Will a pillow be safe? How about somewhere on the back or a second border have Penelope's little foot embroidered so she will know what you were doing while (patiently) waiting for her? :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. Time to change your profile to read: SAHM of THREE! xo
My goodness, you are even worse ( or better, depending on point of view, lol ) than I thought! I had to laugh when I read your post just now. Now thats what I call hmmm, addiction? It kinda reminded me of when my first son was born. I had opted for an epidural, only felt a twinge every minute or so and was happily playing cards with my husband when the midwife all of a sudden shrieked " I can see the head! ". Made us stop in the middle of a game, would you believe it, tut tut.
ReplyDeleteYour embroidery is soooo beautiful! Your mum will be over the moon to receive such a wonderful gift, whatever you decide to make with it. I do like Lauranie's idea of the little embroidered foot.
