Stained Glass Windows; A Cathedral Windows Quilt

It's finished! I met my goal and finished "Stained Glass Windows" last night. It measures 44" square and will be a wall hanging. I have a pocket attached to the upper edge along the back. We hung it in an open double door in our house and let the sun shine through from one side while we photographed it from the other. It's a great effect and I wish I could display it that way!
I have talked about this quilt plenty in my blog already, so I will not repeat any of the specifics here. If you are looking for them, click on "cathedral windows quilt" on the list of labels on the right side bar. That will bring you to my earlier posts with progress shots and list of materials and the tutorial that I used.
Thanks for all the encouragement along the way! I am ready to move on to the next thing now. I have some spring garment sewing up next.

  4. It's almost worth punching a giant hole in your wall and making a window to hang it in!!!! I've already told you (a lot!) how I feel about this quilt - you've really done an incredible job. I admire it greatly. Congratulations on the finish!!!!

  22. I just love this quilt. I had seen it on flickr in March, but I came over to visit it again. It is so beautiful. The combination of colors and fabrics is perfection and the fussy cutting... get outta town! Awesome. : )

  25. This quilt is amazing. I've been looking through your blog at your quilts, and they are all beautiful. I don't know where you get the time energy and inspiration.

I have 3 kids, too (the youngest is nearly 3 and the oldest is nearly 6), and I recently thought I would like to start making quilts. I started making my first quilt a year ago and I would say I am currently about a third of the way through it :) Like I said, I don't know how you do it.
