Mary, here is your proof that potholders were made for you and they are in the mail. Poor Mary and her partner have had rotten luck. Mary's Potholder Pass 2 partner has sent two sets of potholders to Mary and neither have reached her. Here is my attempt!
Mary, I am going ahead and ruining your surprise in case you never see them in person! If they do not arrive in a couple of days, I think you should follow your mail carrier home and check his or her kitchen for a nice stash of modern potholders.
Mary requested modern potholders. These are inspired by the Love Beads quilts (as seen in The Modern Quilt Workshop. The vertical solid pink strips are just 1/4" wide and the circles are as big as the top of a spool of thread. I used grey and pink solids and Heather Ross-Mendocino-Octopus-Fuchsia.
I hope these suit your taste Mary. Enjoy! (If you get them that is!)

I was going to ask you for advice about the grommets as I have to install some into a bag! lol I asked my hubby and showed him some grommet pliers I have and he said they are ok for small ones but for my 1.05cm ones he is going to bring a tool home from work. Have no idea what the tool is and can only imagine my reaction will be to keep it away from my fabric! lol
