I have always enjoyed making Christmas cards. For the longest time, I carved one linoleum block design each year at Christmas for my personal Christmas cards. Then I began printing small editions to sell at art fairs.
These designs were already printed and ready to go so I have listed them on Etsy. Christmas is still 4 months away but that's how long Etsy listings are good for so the timing makes sense to me!
I like the fact that many of these designs could be used all winter, not exclusively for Christmas. I have some other blocks that are carved but not printed that I hope to get to, including some gingerbread men and an angel. I have also begun printing some of these blocks on fabric for Christmas projects.
Your cards are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove your cards. They are certainly a work of art!
ReplyDeleteVery, very nice.
ReplyDeleteThey are so charming! I love them (like all your other lino cut ^^).
ReplyDeleteAnd I think the idea is great to carve a new design every christmas and create special cards for family and friends and they all have after some time their own little colelction :)
Ding, ding, ding....we have a winner(s)!! That is exactly what I would like...on fabric. They are sooooo lovely....I want to make a bunch of mini hangings for presents for my family! Phew....I've been wondering what to make for presents that were quick but packed a punch!!:)
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! What a wonderful tradition!
ReplyDeletethese are so great! they're all beautiful, but the pinecone is my favorite.
ReplyDeletethen it's unanimous! i also think you have winners here too. beautiful amy, as usual!!! :)
ReplyDeleteYou're so organized Amy! Those are terrific, I really love the pine cone and snowflake. We silk-screen cards every Christmas, but a lino cut might be a nice change...hmmmm.
