One of my blog readers gave me the terrific idea to make a cookies for Santa mug rug!

Here is what I came up with. I went for a traditional look so that it could become a part of some family's tradition...a mug rug that they pull out each year for Santa on Christmas Eve! The center is a linocut print of a pair of gingerbread men with a raw edge applique heart. I free motion quilted "Cookies for Santa" on a piece of linen and dotted the "I" with a glass bead.
I know, you are more interested in those cookies right? They are one of my favorites and I just put a batch in the freezer for Christmas. Have you tried Chocolate Crackles? Yum!
oh how cute is this! I wish my husband still believed in Santa so I could make one for him!!
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable! And what a great idea. I might need to do this.
ReplyDeleteAnd how smart of you to bake the cookies and then freeze them. We bake them, then we (meaning I) eat them all in about 2 days. I avoid baking cookies for this very reason.
hey I make those cookies too!!! so delicious.
ReplyDeletethat little mug rug design is so great! perfect for the holidays ahead amy!
