"Be Merry" Mini Received!

I loved Krista's "Be Merry" Mini Quilt from the second I saw it on her blog. I asked if she'd be interested in a little swap and she was kind enough to agree! She sent me the beauty above and she chose this needlebook from me.

It was a fun swap and I can't wait to hang my mini. I am going hardware shopping tomorrow to get some hooks for the dining room wall.

Just to give you all a laugh...this is how I spent my afternoon. I made no sew fleece blankets, two of them, for my nephews ages 4 and 6. My sister asked me to. Otherwise, I never, ever, ever would have been caught purchasing Sponge Bob fleece. I am trying to be a good aunt though and grant a Christmas wish! I was happy because I was able to find two different Sponge Bob fleece prints so that the blankets are the same but different; perfect for squelching arguments between brothers.

  4. Meg, how funny! I'm glad you love your quilt too.

Amy, I love my needlebook and it's keeping my home much safer now that I don't leave pins and needles laying all over the house.

Those fleece blankets are always so tempting because they look so cozy, but yeah, the novelty prints on them make me shudder sometimes ;) the boys will love them though!

  5. LOL, Sponge Bob on fabric does seem rather like desecration, doesn't it?! What a good aunt! :)
