I just joined a charity bee for a wonderful organization called
Margaret's Hope Chest. If you haven't heard of the work that Carin and her mother are doing, I'd love for you to take a look and see how you might be able to help.

These blocks are for Jordan. Carin asked us to make blocks using one animal or car fabric and a solid yellow, red, orange or blue. We used Cluck Cluck Sew's Stack and Whack Block tutorial.

These blocks are for Frankee, made using Crazy Mom Quilt's Hourglass tutorial. We were to use a combination of pink, purple, butterflies or tiara fabrics.

And lastly, these string blocks, made using PS I Quilt's Block O'Strings tutorial, are for Harmony. Her quilt will be blue, pink, green and red.
This bee is a wonderful way to use up scraps and other materials (like novelty fabrics) that I might not have a use for otherwise.
I hope that these quilts bring great joy.
Oh my gosh Amy all of these blocks are wonderful and what a wonderful thing!! I'll go check this out, thanks.
ReplyDeleteThose are great blocks. And what a great bee!
ReplyDeleteWow, you are fast! I'm so excited to be a part of this bee... I'll be working on my blocks this afternoon.
ReplyDeleteJennifer :)
Love your blocks! I'm doing this bee, too! Just went shopping today. Had a hard time finding any basketball or football theme fabric for a couple of the boys, though. I have a few more places to look, though.
ReplyDeleteThose string blocks are awesome. That pop of blue is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteNice blocks, Amy. I've been thinking about doing some string blocks. I'll have to check out that tutorial!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you have finished already! They look great--all of them! Cute, cute, cute!
