Too Much Cuteness!

I asked my public library if they would buy a copy of "Oliver + S Little Things to Sew" by Liesl Gibson. And they did! I was flipping through it and just loved the vintage feel to the "Bias-Trimmed Apron" (page 36.)

I thought it would be another perfect project for some of "My Happy Place" silkscreen test prints! I used my hand printed fabric for the pockets. The apron itself is made of utility cloth with store bought red gingham bias tape edging. This apron isn't for sale; it's for my daughter Penny!

She helped me plant a Lemon Balm and some strawberries this afternoon and I snapped some pictures.

I had a very hard time self editing because she is so darn cute!

I hope you don't mind...there is still one more...

  1. She IS cute, Amy! I really like the apron on her. It's cuter than the one in the book.

  4. When I first saw this blog post title, I was surprised, because you're not usually the "cute" type...but when I saw the pictures, it made sense. The apron is very cute, but Penny in the apron is super cute!!! I'm glad you included a lot of pictures because they are delightful to see!

  15. Gosh Amy, that cuteness is gonna last me all week! I love the apron and the coverage is perfect for Penny's gardening days. I also wanted to say what a good idea it is to encourage people to ask their public libraries to purchase crafting books. My guild gives our 3 local libraries $200 each per year for such purchases but I bet it is rarely all used up.
