Blueberry Ice Cream

The kids and I gave my husband an ice cream maker for Father's Day. Since then, he's been making ice cream non stop. I went from never buying heavy cream to buying it on a weekly basis. This week, we went blueberry picking and he made blueberry ice cream with this recipe. Isn't it the prettiest color?
He makes pancakes, french toast, pizzelles, chocolate drop cookies, and now, ice cream. Heaven help us if we ever need to rely on him for "real" food though!

  2. My great-grandmother used to plan her meals around the dessert she had chosen! That ice cream looks fabulous.

  3. Looks delicious! We stick to making chocolate and vanilla, so not nearly as exciting. I am the same sort of cook as your husband - baking is my forte, and in my case it is my husband prevents us from starving!

  4. Yummy! That looks great! I've been thinking about getting an ice cream maker so that I could make this recipe here: http://just-because-i-am-me.blogspot.com/2011/07/oh-my.html If you try it, let me know how it is. It sounds so good!

  10. Looks good! We make an ice creamish product in our Blendtec, but it can't substitute for a real ice cream maker. Great gift!
