Upcycled Denim Pillow Play Tutorial

My dear friend Michele asked me to be a part of her "Drop Dead Denim" month full of tutorials and projects all using, you guessed it, denim. Not one to say no to a bit of a challenge, I agreed to put together a tutorial and here is what I came up with!

I'm calling it "Upcycled Denim Pillow Play." It's an interactive pillow cover for kids. I chose to use the Three Little Bears story. Go on and check out the tutorial over at Michele Made Me. While you are there, please take a good look at Michele's work. She's a creative, expressive artist of the nicest sort.

  4. Great idea...and it's portable!

I made James a quilt... many moons ago....using denium squares from the kids old cutie print corduroy pants and hubby's Levis making sure to fussy cut the pockets....that quilt lay across the futon in their room and every pocket was full of action figures, barbies and lego people and they would tie yarn from the loops I left on there across the room to their beds and dresser so the toys could zoom across the jungle floor safely on their zipline! So many memories!!:) I think there are still some legos in the pockets!:)
