First off, there are three more seam rippers listed in the shop. We have an orange with black swirl and two new colors, orange marmalade and amethyst swirl. There will be more in the next week or so but I am listing them as they come as many people are ordering them for Christmas gifts and I want to make sure they arrive in time!
This is my new screenprint! It's a repeating row of eyelet. My plan is to print it in three to four colors and it will be available at the beginning of December. I am horrible at naming designs. All I've got for this one is "Eyelet." Name this print and you will receive a free piece in the color of your choice! Let the naming begin!
I like using Eyelet....'Eyelet Waves' is all I've got though.
ReplyDeleteI might try again after my coffee :)
It's a great design - maybe "Lace Ruffles".
ReplyDeletei bought one of those seam rippers a while back... i LOVE it, it's just the perfect weight and it's BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason all I can think about when I look at the beautiful fabric is lemons. So how about Lemonade? But here another idea...go with Eyelet but if you do a yellow one call it Lemonade Eyelet, and maybe a green could be Limeade Eyelet.
ReplyDeleteMy suggestion... I think you should call it "Sweet Scallop". It's so pretty (but I always say that!)
ReplyDeleteOHHHH!! I LOVE the new print!! How about Handmade Lace or Vintage Eyelet or Vintage Charm or Lacey Love. It is wonderful!! Thanks for a chance :)
ReplyDeleteamy this is really lovely. it reminds me of the old cottage thatched roof tops. so i guess i will suggest "thatched cottage eyelet". i wish i had a roof that looked like this. here is a link with a few examples:

happy turkey day!
I think the print resembles lemon seeds. So how about Fresh Squeezed??
ReplyDeleteI have one more suggestion. When I think of eyelet, I think of Lazy Dazy for some reason. Maybe it's because it brings back memories of times past, a less complicated life ;-)
ReplyDeleteHow about "Watermelon Waves"? This print reminds me of watermelon slices. :)
ReplyDeleteCarolyn
I think it looks like lemons. How about pink lemonade?
ReplyDelete"Mini Waves Eyelet"!
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of a lace petticoat, like the kind worn under dresses in the 19th century or in "Gone with the Wind". Maybe something like "Victorian Petticoat" or "Petticoat Stripe".
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Amy!! As for a name, it reminds me of a vintage lace, so maybe sweet vintage? or vintage scallop? sweet vintage eyelet?
ReplyDeleteSliced lemons????
ReplyDeleteLol All I can think of are these beautiful embroidered pillowcases made by my great aunt Avis. So why not something like Auntie's Notion? I could probably do better, but I'm not allowed any caffeine this week. ;)
ReplyDelete"Petticoat" jumps to my mind.
ReplyDeleteHow about pink cucumbers all in a row...I really like this print as well as those awesome seam rippers!
ReplyDeleteThe first thing I thought of when seeing it was apple pieces "with the seeds). It totally reminds me of the "apple boats" I prepare for my kids, so apple boats is my proposal.
ReplyDeleteThat's adorable! I'm pretty terrible at naming things... all I could thing of was "Smiles and Sprouts." :}
ReplyDeleteGoing totally on a different tangent here: Mistletoe Lace. But I would vote for Leila's Petticoat, too.
ReplyDeleteI think "Sprouts" is fitting. Great print!
ReplyDeleteThis print is adorable! How about Eyelet Meadow?
ReplyDeleteLovely print Amy! I thought of Chantilly lace...
ReplyDeleteSo many options! Laceful, Eye Spy, Lacey Ridge...
ReplyDeleteI immediately thought of a picot trim when I saw the print, so I'd suggest 'Picot trimmings' or 'picot trims' :)
ReplyDeleteI suggest, Summer time. To me eyelete ='s summer.
ReplyDeleteTotally nothing eyelet or vintage. What about "over and under" Although now that I actually think, petticoats go under a dress. (stretching it, I know but I've been cooking all day).
ReplyDeleteLoopy loo's, scalloped potatoes (?) , eye love eyelet or I love eyelet..I kinda like the eye better, eyelet/eye won't let , ok I'm stopping now it' s getting silly. Fun print though.
ReplyDeleteLove Leila's petticoat :) Could also do something that is inspired by vintage and lace...like: tea time, doily, chatilly, ruffled, avonlea......
ReplyDeletePretty princess in pink!
ReplyDeleteEyelet Ruffle
ReplyDeleteAnother pretty print,Amy. But then I say that all the time. I like Candice's "Vintage Eyelet". Or if you're going for more modern, "Retro Eyelet"; "Miss Amy's Eyelet"; "Pretty Scallops" or did someone else say that last one? Whatever, it's a lovely print. Thanks. Luba
ReplyDeleteLily's Lace or Penelope's Picot!:)
ReplyDeleteNo Frills Attached :)
ReplyDeleteI love it Amy! It reminds me of a vintag-y apron. I'm gonna call it Marmee's Apron.
ReplyDelete"squirt" because they look like grapefruit halves (and because I really want to win lol)
ReplyDeleteSo cute!! Reminds me of ric rac and ribbons. So I'll say, "Ric Rac and Ribbons"! :) I like Eyelet Waves and Petticoats, too. I can't wait to see the other colors in this Eyelet Collection! :)
ReplyDelete"Half-slice." To me it looks like grapefruit or watermelon.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabric, by the way.
sweet scallop
ReplyDeleteI was thinking "Jungle Canopy" but now that I've read about all the lemon/apple/grapefruit ideas I can totally see that too. Ahh! Lovely design. :)
ReplyDeleteEye-C-U
ReplyDeleteName that print: Scallops of Daisies
ReplyDeleteVery sweet! How about Blooming Scallops? Scalloped Petals? I do like the petticoat idea as well.
ReplyDeleteI suggest Luscious Layers in Pink. That way if people see fruit they can have layers of fruit, if they see lace they have layers of lace & if they see something else they have layers of that. Either way they have a beautiful fabric. Can't wait to see the other colours.
ReplyDeleteHow about trifle.... I think the edges look like the patterns you see in the bowl when you layer all the fruit, cream, sponge fingers and custard
ReplyDeleteBeautiful print! At first glance my initial thought went to feathers...can't explain that one. But I'm thinking "Feather Eyelet in (color here)." But I'm totally with you Amy, naming is tough, although I would have never thought you had any trouble with the task!
ReplyDeleteI also like the Petticoat suggestion mentioned earlier.
The little "seedlets" remind me of spring and new beginnings, so how about Spring Scallops or Scalloped Seedlets?
ReplyDeletePetticoat Lace is the first thing I thought on seeing the fabric design. Love it
ReplyDeleteHow about Petticoat Junction being as how you are a modern quilter and this is a juncion between old and new????
ReplyDeleteWhat can I say I am at work and my creative juices are not firing on all cylinders. :0)
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!!
Oh, yes, daisies! {I already answered, but I saw that above!} :) Looks like a daisy garden!
ReplyDeleteRaspberry Scallops. This is such a pretty print!
ReplyDeleteMy idea is Interlace
