Welcome to During Quiet Time! I am participating in Sew Mama Sew's Giveaway Day again this year.
Here is my offering! My giveaway IS open to international readers.
If you are new to my blog, I enjoy hand printing fabric. My designs are all original and made with care. I print on an Essex blend with high quality, heat set silkscreen inks. All fabrics are prewashed and ready to be used in your sewing creations! My package includes one piece of my Defining Kokeshi silkscreen in black, one piece of Vintage Collection in royal blue, and scraps of My Happy Place and Petticoat in mustard and petal.
My husband makes hand turned seam rippers on his lathe in our barn. The handles are acrylic and polished to a beautiful shine. The hardware is good quality and the seam rippers sell faster than he can make them. This particular seam ripper didn't make it past quality control (me). He did a perfect job handturning the handle but the coloration of the blank didn't please me. The stripes give way to a grey area in one spot. This works for you though as we decided to give it away! I can guarantee that it works just as well as the others and looks perfectly perfect from most every angle (except that one!).
I'd love it if you would follow During Quiet Time or take a peek in my shop. However, all that is required to win is a simple comment. Please tell me what your sewing resolution would be for the New Year, should you choose to make one. Maybe you are going to finish up all your WIPs? Maybe you aren't buying fabric but working from your stash? You tell me for a chance to win. I will leave this giveaway open till Dec. 16th at 5:00 pm. I will pick a winner using the Random Number Generator.
Thanks for visiting! Happy Holidays!
Editted to add: My husband sells his seam rippers in my Etsy shop. For those who have gone looking for them, they are sold out at the moment. He will be making more and they will be listed after Christmas. He also accepts custom orders. Just send me an Etsy convo and we can arrange for that. Thanks for all of your inquiries.
Another Edit: SMS asks that the giveaways close at 5 today PST. I was forgetting the time zone difference. I will draw a winner this evening at about 8:00 my time and will post the winner here!
This giveaway is now closed.

Wow! I can't wait to dive into your tutorials. My goal is to do some selfish sewing in 2012!
Ack number 1 comment never wins but I'll give it a go anyway.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... I think my new years resolution is to make the effort to do more handstitching. Traditionally I'm too impatient... :)
Hmmm. Given the stress I'm under right now, my New Year's resolution is to get all my Christmas gifts made by the end of March!!
ReplyDeleteI love your fabrics, I've had you in my Google reader for awhile now but have just joined today. I would LOVE to win a bit of your fabric, I'm just waiting for you to get picked up with one of the major manufacturers!
ReplyDeleteCheers and good luck everyone!
I want to use up my stash! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteHi there! Thanks for the great giveaway opportunity. I became a follower of your blog earlier this fall when we were in a swap together. Your fabric creations are lovely. My new year's resolution is to sandwich, quilt and bind all (or at least a good percentage) of my UFOs. ( Waiting til after the holidays to tackle the larger items.) Thanks also, for your tutorirals-- I have made some, and bookmarked others for future projects :0)
ReplyDeleteMy New Year's resolution involves applique - I keep promising myself that I will learn but somehow I am always too nervous. But 2012 is the year!
ReplyDeleteI just love your designs and am inspired by your talent...your hubbys too. I'm a loyal follower!
ReplyDeleteMy New Year's resolution is to complete one sewing project every month--all I want is 12 completed FO's at the end of the year!
ReplyDeleteI really need to make the "no more fabric" resolution, but I probably wouldn't make it through January. ;)
ReplyDeleteI'd say my sewing resolution is "try new things".
Thanks for the chance!
I am a follower, and I would love to win some of your fabric! My 2012 sewing resolution is "when it stops being fun, stop working on it." Sewing is a hobby, and hobbies are supposed to be fun, but often I find myself compelled to keep working on something that I don't like or isn't working properly because I don't want to waste fabric. Next year I will be brave enough to trash a project if I want to!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely gift! I would love to win the misfit cutter. =) LOL.
ReplyDeleteI really want to reign in my shopping for supplies...I buy stuff because of the coupons I get in the mail...I want to just start using what I have and only shop if I absolutely NEED something! =)
Thanks for a chance to win!
I've been reading your blog a while but just joined as a follower. My sewing goal is to see a project through to the end, and not stop once it is a quilt top. I enjoy quilting but still seem to avoid it, and then I'm off on another piecing adventure!
ReplyDeleteI think I really need to finis my Ufo's. Thant would be great. Tried last year but still there are quite a few. Thanks so much for the give away! I love to follow your blog!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway. Thanks for hosting and Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWow super giveaway, I'd love to win your gorgeous creations (and Marks!). Resolution? To sew more for me! and work through the list!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your creative fabrics! Thanks for the chance to win!! ( I am a follower)
ReplyDeletelyssadee(at)gmail(dot)com

ReplyDeleteblazingstarclinic @ gmail (dot) com

What a great giveaway!! My resolution is to try something outside my comfort zone. Paper piecing will be my first try. I tend not to stray far from what I know, but it's time to expand my skills. We'll see! :o)
ReplyDeleteHi Amy! Love these giveaway days, thank you for participating. I've found a lot of great blogs this way.
ReplyDeleteI don't normally make resolutions, but this coming year I am DETERMINED to put a dent in my HUGE pile of tops. They need to be quilted...I have at least 30...varying from topper to king size quilt!! Wish me luck ;) and have a great day
I volunteered to teach improv curves to my guild in March so I will be making a few curvy quilts in January!
ReplyDeleteWonderful assortment of treasures for your giveaway! I love visiting your blog every day, as you are so creative. Thanks for the opportunity to win.
ReplyDeleteOoh great stuff! So I hadn't thought about a sewing resolution but I have said to myself recently that I need to break my habit of buying only certain fabrics and be more adventurous with my prints and colours, so that's what i'm gonna do! Thx for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteLove your giveaway!! My resolution for 2012 is to end the year with less UFO's than I start with.

My sewing resolution is to take a class or two. I have been trying to learn to sew but I tend to have a lot of mechanical issues. So trying to better my self in the sewing machine owner department is my biggest goal I figure if I know how to use my machine better, my sewing will improve. ^^
ReplyDeleteLove your blog and your fabrics. My resolution is to buy more handprinted fabrics to sew with as they lift my spirit :)
ReplyDeleteThis sounds awful, but my resolution is to say NO to sewing projects for often. I feel like everytime I sit down to relax, I should get up and make something! I have to chill! liz.taylor24@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteMy goal for this coming year is to make a queen size quilt for my husband and a full size for my daughter who is graduating from college in May. I'm in a modern quilt guild and I am doing some swaps with them which is helping me get creative with fabrics. I love your blog. Thanks for the inspiration and for this giveaway! Blessings,
ReplyDeleteMy resolution is to buy less fabric and try and make things from my stash. What I need is another QAL like Amanda Jean's 36 patch. That was all stash fabric. And I do love your blog.
ReplyDeleteAnother fab giveaway! I think this year my resolution is to tackle the single girl quilt! would love to make it in abiggish size for snuggling on the couch.
ReplyDeleteMy sewing resolution is to finish a couple of wedding quilts ON TIME next year! This will be an additional challenge, as I'm having twins before the weddings, but I'll do my best.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway chance!
I think my resolution this year would be to finish the three quilts that I have started now before starting more quilts.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun giveaway! My resolution is to organize my sewing room and sew down my stash. I've making it an annual goal to finish at least one quilt. This year I want to make that two with one going to a local charity quilt auction.
ReplyDeleteMy New Year's resolution is to finish a king sized bed quilt, with curved seams no less! That seam ripper will really come in handy...unfortunately! Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteOooh very cool! My resolution is to be more original with my quilt making, that just because a pattern has used a particular line of fabric doesn't mean that I need to use the same :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous fabric and cool seam ripper! I would just love to win this. I don't really have a resolution, but more of a goal - I plan on doing my first craft show in the spring or summer! So I have lots of sewing and preparation to do. Thank for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMy goal is to get a zipper into a purse with the lining on the inside! So far this goal has alluded me :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the fab giveaway!
Well, I sure could use that beautiful seam ripper and nice fabric! I'm a big black and white girl anyway. Thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteMy sewing resolution for the new year is to use up some of the stash before buying more! I've been following & really enjoy your blog!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely giveaway! My new year's resolution would be to get my stash of fabric better organized, and then use more of it!
ReplyDeleteNo idea what my sewing resolution is-I guess I have to make one! Maybe try all the things that I have been too nervous to try! Thanks for the chance-as always I love everything you and your husband create!
ReplyDeleteOoopppss, a resolution? Ummmm, in sewing, I suppose, huh? I hope to use more of my stash instead of buying more stuff that I don't know where to go with it!
ReplyDeleteOh, swoon! Dream! Mr.Number Generator HAS to pick me!!! :) I follow you everyday :) Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I want to have a sewing resolution - this years didn't work out so well. I wanted to make more bed size quilts....I think I finished one! Not a great outcome!
ReplyDeleteI think my 2012 resolution will be to stay true to myself and not follow the crowd, create for the love of being creative!
I'd like to improve my free motion quilting. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteMy new year's resolution would be to stress less about what I do!
ReplyDeleteOh I love those unpickers :-)

I can't believe you nixed that ripper....hope you didn't hurt his feelings!:)
ReplyDeleteHmmm....sewing resolution....well...I'm joining TWO bees next year...first time EVER...and I resolve to get my part done as soon as the package or instructions come in!! I Promise!:)
I love your handprinted fabrics
ReplyDeleteand the seam ripper would make ripping a little less formidable.
My sewing resolution is to finally make a quilt for my own bed !
I love your printed fabric and have been reading your blog for a year now but this is my first comment. My resolution is to comment more on blogs and thank the talented ladies for sharing.
ReplyDeleteTo cut into my fabric instead of preening over it.
ReplyDeleteMy sewing resolution is to use my stash!
ReplyDeleteLove your designs!
Um, my resolution for the New Year... Finish the quilt I started over the summer... And that's pretty much it so far. I haven't thought that far ahead yet but maybe I should eh?
ReplyDeletethanks for the chance Amy!
I definitely need to work on my stash, but more importantly I need to get my sewing room organised. I spend much to much time looking for the bits and pieces I need to complete a project. Highly frustrating and very unproductive. Your fabric is beautiful and I love your husband's seam ripper
ReplyDeleteHi Amy,
ReplyDeletemy resolution for the new year is to finish a project to be allowed to start a new one. And every quilter in the world must agree that it is easier said than done ;)
I have already decided that i am going to work through my enormous box of 'notions' and make something from each one and hopefully make a dent in my stash too!
ReplyDeleteI'd say a good sewing resolution for me would be to get more projects crossed off my to.do list!!
ReplyDeletewow - you two are both amazing artists! i am trying really hard to finish up some projects, but of course i am dying to start some new ones! so we'll see if i can stick to the plan.
ReplyDeleteNew years resolution is to sew more clothes than I buy!
ReplyDeleteMy sewing resolution is to write a list of all the new things I want to try and cross 1 off each month. Some I want to do is dye fabric, screen print, and lots more. Have a great week Amy!
ReplyDeleteMy New Year's resolution is to make a quilt for each of my kids this year. I always seem to be making them for other people! :)
ReplyDeleteooh sewing resolution - to finish off the WIPs I have hanging around. I have a number of quilts I am dying to get finished but keep running out of time. Next year is the year of finishing off abandoned projects.
ReplyDeleteam following your blog. I absolutely love the seam ripper! My resolution is to finish some quilt series I have all over my sewing room.
ReplyDeleteMy sewing resolution...it's boring - to be better with my time! I love to sew, I have ideas & fabric waiting....and yet sometimes I end up on the couch doing nothing but watching tv. How does that even happen?! lol
ReplyDeleteI've been an admirer of your etsy shop for quite some time! Your fabrics are lovely.
ReplyDeleteAs for my resolution, I'm sure I'll make a long list before it's all said and done. For now, though, I definitely hope to finish up all WIPs before the end of 2012.
Hmmm sewing resolution, I think mine's the same every year. Come Christmas time I wonder why I leave everything till the last minute! I always resolve to get an early start next year and sadly never do. With all stressful consequences of course.
ReplyDeleteSo next year I will get a head start and not leave things till the very last minute! See how long it sticks thistime ;-)
My resolution is to organize my fabric stash and de-clutter my sewing room
ReplyDeleteYour fabrics are gorgeous and I loooove that seam ripper! My New Year's sewing resolution is to make time to sew each week and to clear out those WIPs before buying any new sewing materials!
ReplyDeleteid like to practice my fmq'ing more, and workout more!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, finish up wip's, ufo's, anything that I've started!! And what a fabulous giveaway Amy!! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMy sewing resolution is to try some new techniques this year.

ReplyDeleteFabulous giveaway..what a talented hubby you have! My sewing resolution is to use more of my stash...I am getting close to being on hoarders...HA!! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteSmiles~Beth
Great giveaway! My new year's resolution will be to sew at least 30 minutes a day!. That will be a miracle actually.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance.
I tend not to make resolutions for fear of not keeping them. You've got a really lovely blog, I'm in need of a seam ripper so I'm off to have a look. What a great husband and wife team you are. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeletemy sewing resolution to start and finish my first ever quilt !
ReplyDeleteYour blog is lovely! Thank you for a fun and useful giveaway. In terms of sewing...I have lots and lots of fabric that I need to do something with rather than just letting it pile up and look at. I'm hoping to make my first quilt for 2012, sew more clothing, sew new curtains once our livingroom is updated and definitely would like to dye fabric & yarns. Oh, and making a fabric design and sending it to Spoonflower... we'll see...
ReplyDeleteMy goal for the New Year is time organization.
ReplyDeleteWow - your fabric is lovely, and so is the seam-ripper. Very cool stuff! My goal for the New Year is to find a way to keep up with my sewing without taking over our entire living room with my stuff!
ReplyDeleteMy goal for next year is to make a robot quilt for my oldest. He's been patiently waiting while I make his little brothers sock monkey quilt.
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting one of your seam rippers for a while now...that (and the fabric) would be lovely! My New Years resolution is to spend more one-on-one time with each of my three boys. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteMy resolution is to work through my stash as much as possible. I want to start only buying fabric as needed, but first I have to work through what I have :)

Oh Amy - your giveaway is so wonderful I just have to throw my name into the mix! My resolution is to work with what I have. I'm sure that fabric will be purchased but I'd really like to spend my time creating instead of acquiring. Thanks for hosting such a wonderful giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMy resolution is to sew/craft for 30 minutes a day! And this would have an added bonused of using up my stash and working down my WIP
ReplyDeleteMy sewing resolution is to start my holiday sewing even earlier than I did this year... like perhaps I should start on December 26th! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI have been happy with my output this year but for next year I will try and make a few quilts that are a bit more artistic and individual. I tried to do this all year I didn't manage because I had to much work going on and was often to tired in the evening to work on something challenging.
ReplyDeleteNeed to work through my stash and projects. I've created a monster of projects that are not done so need to work on those this next year for sure.
ReplyDeleteMy sewing resolution for the new year is simply that I get more of it done!
ReplyDeleteajoyfulnoise (at) live (dot) com
Beautiful fabrics and I just love the seam ripper. I need to use more of my stash and stop buying more fabric. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI haven't thought about it until now...but I guess my New Year's resolution would be to make a better effort to keep the house "unexpected guest" ready. Thanks for the giveaway! robyn(dot)geddes(at)gmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteWow - it would be fantastic to win your package! I don't really make resolutions because it's disappointing when I can't keep them :) But if I did...it would be to finish up any WIP before starting anything new!
ReplyDeleteOoh. What a terrific giveaway. I've been admiring your husband's seam rippers for a while now. My New Year's sewing resolution is to two-part. First I want to finish the two quilts I have languishing in states of half-doneness. And, second, I want to continue making clothes for myself - maybe a garment a month? Now that I've taken a pattern-drafting class with Cal Patch and finally really understand how to alter something to fit properly.
ReplyDeleteLove your fabrics! And since my resolution is to work from stash next year I need to add as much to it as possible before the first....right?! LOL
ReplyDeleteMy new year sew resolution is... learn to sew!
ReplyDeleteoh, gorgeous! my goal for 2012 is to conquer FMQ.

ReplyDeleteGet back into sewing. I haven't sewed in a couple of months.
ReplyDeleteTo finally make my first quilt! :)
ReplyDeleteThat seam ripper is wonderful! Is there a link to where they can be purchased that I may have overlooked?
Thanks for a great giveaway!
Your fabrics are so pretty and unique and the seam ripper is awesome - what a great giveaway. My sewing resolution for 2012 is that I won't be buying any clothes - instead if I need any new clothes, I will make them myself. I've taken the Seamless Pledge for 2012.
ReplyDeleteThis year I want to only work on projects that make me happy, no more stress! Thanks for the chance to win :-) jjjcwebb (at) Hotmail d0t com

ReplyDeleteMy sewing resolution is to free-motion quilt the kind quilt face that's finished and waiting for some love in my sewing room. It's a HUGE quilt and that scares me a little! I like smaller things usually :)
Soo.. I went and peeked in your store and those little tooth pillows are beautiful!! I love those!! Your hedgie print is also too cute! Where do you get your inspiration from for your fabric pattern choices? Lovely!!
Thank you for a great giveaway opportunity, and many of life's blessings for you this holiday season!!
krencamp (at) gmail (dot) com

ReplyDeletethanks - beautiful fabrics that you design!
I want to make some jackets, but really I want to finally conquer pants! I've made three attempts this year with no success :(
ReplyDeleteI'm a fairly new sewer/quilter, so in the new year I want to grow a stash (hmm...that sounds like I want facial hair. I don't. I want fabric. :)

ReplyDeleteYour fabrics are amazing! And those hand turned seam rippers are just stunning...what a talented couple you two are. My sewing resolution is to continue to sew from stash. I have been on a fabric diet since the first of this year, and my stash is really not decreasing all that much. Hubby told me that if I sewed every remaining minute of my life, I would not be able to stitch up all my fabric....got to prove him wrong!! Merry Christmas and thank you for this giveaway opportunity!
ReplyDeleteI think it is time I started making things from all the books and magazines I bought this year (instead of buying fabric!) Love the seam rippers!
ReplyDeleteStunning fabrics! I'm so glad I found you. And, amazing seam ripper...how inspiring that both you and your husband are artisans. My sewing resolution is to improve my hand at clothing making. I have a great new book about pattern making that I'm dying to dive into.

ReplyDeletetogle (at) purdue dot edu

ReplyDeleteI love the seam rippers every time you post one (been a follower for ages). I suppose mine would be to finish some stuff!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful give a way, what can I say. My resolution is to try to keep myself on track to finish up those PIGS (projects in grocery sacks) and not just talk about doing so!

ReplyDeleteWow ! Your fabric are gorgeous ! And that seem ripper... I would have never thought to make that!
ReplyDeleteA resolution ? Definitely make more quilts !
Thanks :)
Gorgeous giveaway!!!!! Thank you for the chance to win! My resolution is to just make what I want and to actually try and make most of the things on my list!
ReplyDeleteI want to actually make the project I gather the supplies for. I have a whole stack of things I've gotten all the fabric for and then never actually made. It's ridiculous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful prizes. You are talented!! My resolution is to take my sewing machine off the shelf more, and to take a beginner class, so I can learn the proper way to do things!
ReplyDeleteMy sewing resolution is the sew more!! And to get my crafting area somewhat organized lol. Then I can sew more. It is a vicious cycle lol.
ReplyDeleteWow, so beautiful! My sewing resolution is sewing pieces of clothing with invisible zippers, and bags! Hope I'll find the time :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the prizes. Thanks for the giveaway! My resolution would have to be to sew more stuff for around my house (blankets, pillows, table runners, etc). I end up doing so many things for others, yet my house has barely anything handmade by me in it.

ReplyDeleteLovely giveaway -- thanks so much! I'd like 2012 to be the year I finally master using my serger!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway. My new years sewing resolution would be to make a quilt for me, that is all about me and only for me. I always make for someone else and have never made a quilt just for me! (What's the chances that all the other projects will take over though? Ah well, as long as I am sewing!)
ReplyDeleteMy sewing resolution for the new year is to finish up some quilts! I'm great at starting new projects, and then letting tops and blocks languish for months...or longer. I'd like to have more finished projects to use around the house!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway. I don't make any resolutions because I just don't keep them! However I am hoping to finish what I am making before I start on something else!
ReplyDeleteHaha, my resolution would be to use the fabric I have before going on a spree!
ReplyDeletemy sewing resolution is to sew more.
ReplyDelete:)
My resolution will be to make sure I spend at least a few hours every week sewing-being creative is so necessary for my sanity!
ReplyDeleteOh, my sewing resolution is to get the baby out of my room (where my sewing stuff is) and into his own room (requiring moving kid number 3 into a room with kids 1 and 2) -- so that I can sew when he's asleep! Thanks for the giveaway! I've come across your blog before but had forgotten about it -- so I'm adding you to my list of blogs to visit :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous seam ripper ( not that I ever need one...). I will try to buy less fabric and use what I have. Mangelnsm@aol.com
ReplyDeletemy resolution is to stash bust for sure.. :) raineoc@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteWhat a talented pair! I've become a follower so that I can see what lovely things you come up with next.
ReplyDeleteMy New Year's sewing resolution is to eke out some kind of crafting space. I just started sewing a year ago and became really addicted in the past few months which means that its taking over my entire apartment. I need to do some serious furniture rearrangement and get some new storage set up so I can keep my sanity and not have every surface in my little apartment covered with WIPs and crafting supplies (especially as I have a large and curious dog snuffling around)
What a beautiful giveaway! I can't believe your husband makes seam rippers by hand. And I love your fabric. I favorited your etsy shop so I can
ReplyDeleteremember to go back and get one of your tea towels.
My new year's resolution is to sew more for myself. I made my 4 year old an entire preschool wardrobe and I'm still wearing postpartum pants (my "baby" is two). Time for some clothes for me!

I need to finish my ufo's definitely. Finish one thing before starting ten more will be my goal, lets see how far i get with that :)
ReplyDeleteYour fabric is amazing, I especially love those little girls and the seam ripper looks great to me.
Not a resolution but I am trying my best to use my fabric. I have a lot of prints that I love so much and I always thought they should be used for the perfect project. Well, the perfect project is most likely not coming around so I am doing my best to use them in less perfect projects :)
ReplyDeletePractice FMQ until I get it right enough to finish my way too many quilts :)
ReplyDeleteWell I already follow you and I frequently look at your shop - so many nice things! I shall cross my fingers for a win - I covet one of those seam rippers!!
ReplyDeleteMy NY resolution would have to be to start and complete my second ever quilt.
S x
I wanted to complete my GFG quilt...
ReplyDeleteThx for the chance to win ^^v
wow, that seam ripper is amazing!
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteMy resolution is to buy MORE fabric. :)
My resolution for the new year is to use at least 50% of my fabric (and yarn) stashes. I already have a list of projects ready for me to get started on. My craft room is ridiculous! To open my cutting table I have to move part of my stash into the hallway.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway.
:) Sheila
Your fabric is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMy resolution is to sew more and to make a large quilt.
My resolution is to use up my stash. The only fabric I will buy will be for quilt backs and binding, and a FQ bundle of Flea Market Fancy. :-)
ReplyDeleteHah My New Years resolution is to create some fabulous slippers with your little "House" fabric I purchased last year! It is so darling I haven't been able to cut into it!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and am a follower. I have been eyeing those handmade seam rippers. My New Year's resolution is a big one. My three best friends are all celebrating their 60th birthdays, along with me, so I am making them each a bedsized quilt! I better get busy!
ReplyDeleteEvery new year i resolve to use up some of my scraps and make one scrap quilt. this year i made three and still have plenty of scraps. oh well, will keep trying. thanks.
ReplyDeleteMy sewing resolution is definitely to sew from my stash. I've also been invited to join a paper-piecing bee and I'm out of my skill level big time so I have to make time for those blocks. I love your hand printed fabric (I've been following your blog for awhile) and would love a chance to win some.
ReplyDeleteMy New Years sewing resolution is to try my hand at making a corset.
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous fabric! I love that seam ripper, too. I just have one of the standard boring blue ones. :)
ReplyDeleteHonestly, my resolution probably needs to be to cut back a little - on sewing elaborate gifts for others. Maybe I should make something for myself that I'll keep? Sounds selfish, but I've bitten off way more than I can chew...
ReplyDeleteMy sewing resolution is to finish all my UFO's I was reading the comment from 195 and i just learned to make a corset and it was so fun.

My resolution will be just to do some sewing each day. I'm trying to live by a routine in the next year, limiting my computer time so I can actually get something done. :)
ReplyDeleteMy sewing resolution SHOULD be no fabric buying for 6 months. I know people who do this for clothing... I really need to do it for quilting!!!
